Abstract:
contents of the model
The model is part of the model package CemoS, a program system that is developed to estimate the exposure concentration of environmental chemicals. CemoSAir calculates the atmospheric transport of a chemical after areal emission (e.g. city). It is assumed that atmospherical and meteorologic conditions are constant. Besides the stationary chemical concentration in a rectangular box (area of emission source * height of the atmospheric mixing layer), chemical deposition, photodegradation, advection, and annual inhalation dose are estimated.
principles of the model
CemoS/Air is a box-model, calculating the stationary chemical concentration in air caused by an areal emission source. The concentration $C_0$ in the box is calculated from continuous input, advection, deposition and degradation. To determine total chemical deposition, dry and wet deposition velocities of chemicals in gaseous and adsorbed phase are estimated.
