Abstract:
PERFECT (Productivity, Erosion and Runoff Functions to Evaluate Conservation Techniques) aims to simulate
the major effects of land management and environment to predict runoff, soil loss, soil water, drainage, crop
growth and yield in agricultural systems. Up to 8 types of data file can be created to describe the system, with
parameters for soil and crop type, climate, evaporation functions, rotation and managemant strategy. Simulation
is site-specific and can be used of a decision support system for farm level management. Student use can be
simplified by using in conjunction with
PERF_ED
.
